Drunk local man caught going 110km/h OVER the speed limit.
That would be nearly 70 mph over the speed limit. He was caught doing 160 km/h (approx 105 mph) in a 50 km/h (35 mph) zone.
Doing such netted him an impaired driving charge, a $1,640 ticket, 24 license points, a 90 day driving suspension and of course, his vehicle was impounded.
I'm not going to sit here and say "don't ever speed", but this wasn't even close to something approaching reasonable.

When I was younger I got clocked doing 134 in a 35, after I had already slowed significantly. I was given a gigantic slap on the wrist. Written up speeding in excess, and received a $500 ticket.
